Insurance and referrals

A referral letter from another doctor is not always required; however, most insurance companies will not process a claim without one. Dr Ho is approved and recognised by all the major private insurers with the exception of Bupa, from which Dr Ho has chosen to opt out. Patients with Bupa insurance are still welcome and may self-pay or seek authorisation from Bupa to settle Dr Ho's fees. Any shortfall must be paid by the patient.

Self-pay patients

The fee for a new consultation (£300) or follow-up appointment (£200) is payable within 48 hours of receiving your invoice to secure your booking. As clinics are often fully booked, this helps ensure that any appointments not confirmed by payment can be offered to other patients. Your appointment will be held for 48 hours and released if payment has not been received within this time. If any tests are completed during the appointment a further invoice will be issued and must be paid within 48 hours or an additional late payment fee (£80) may be applied.

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to attend or change your mind, please cancel the appointment with a minimum of 24 hours' notice for a full refund. Appointments that are not cancelled will be invoiced for the consultation fees above. An administration charge of £80 will be made for any outstanding invoices not settled within one month of the due date.
